Jackson Hole Activities for the Summer
As uniquely enjoyable as each season is in Wyoming, there is a reason the most popular time of year that people travel here to enjoy Jackson Hole activities is in the summer. That reason is that at no other time of the year do you have the variety and number of things to do as in the months of June, July, and August.
Alpine slides, fly fishing trips (both floating and wading), golfing, biking, hiking, canoeing…..horseback riding, pack trips, outdoor tours……climbing, hunting, rafting…..is that enough? No? Okay, throw in balloon rides, chairlifts, wagon trains, kayaking, and birding as well – and, of course, don’t forget the abundance of wildlife you’ll see when you’re visiting the Jackson Hole area. There are an amazing variety of animal species in the region, including large mammals like elk, deer, bear, bison, and moose. Or smaller critters like rabbits, beavers, muskrats, and martens. And we can’t leave out the 16 different species of fish, the large array of reptiles, and the adaptable amphibians. It’s almost impossible to spend any significant amount of time in the park without at least catching a glimpse of something wild….
Truth be told, you could stay here for a week and not even come close to doing everything that’s available to you during the summer. And our list doesn’t even take into account all of the things you can do in the town of Jackson itself. Shopping, outdoor dining, miniature golf, and chairlift rides are only a handful of the activities you can enjoy.
So reserve a condo this summer and count how many fun things you can do and see before you completely wear yourself out. It will take you many trips and you’ll burn a lot of energy before you can say that you’ve even come close to sampling it all.
